Choosing Enrollment Locations

To-Dos:

  • Decide if you will you use one location or many locations throughout your community.

  • Brainstorm locations with planning committee.

  • Ask potential enrollment locations if you can use their space during the event to enroll kids and families in All Kids.

Keys to success:

  • Location(s) should be easily accessible.  If you are hoping to reach a larger part of the community then consider using several well-placed locations throughout the community (i.e. easy to find, near public transportation and centrally located).

  • Enrollment locations should also be places that people trust (i.e. clinics, schools, community organizations, places of worship).  Look to your partners and sponsors to provide space.  Prioritize locations that can offer on-site child care so that enrollees can commit their full attention when completing the application with the enrollment specialist.

  • The magic number of enrollment locations is a balance of convenience and ability to staff the locations with enrollment specialists.  Keep in mind that adding more enrollment locations does not necessarily translate into enrolling more families; one or a few enrollment locations done right can still meet or exceed your target enrollment!
