Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law – The Shriver Center is a national advocacy and policy organization with a long history of advocating for health insurance for Illinois children and families. The Shriver Center conducts trainings for community based organizations on Illinois’ health insurance programs, including All Kids, FamilyCare and Moms & Babies.
Healthy Kids and Families Network – The Healthy Kids and Families Network is a public private partnership that aims to help families enroll in the All Kids program. The Healthy Kids and Families Network is the permanent manifestation of the 1,000 Healthy Kids Campaign which is referenced often in the resources. The 1,000 Healthy Kids Campaign was a huge success in the city of Chicago, and a model that can be adapted for your own community.
Illinois Healthcare and Family Services – The All Kids program currently insures close to 1.6 million kids in the state of Illinois. Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) is a vital resource to anyone planning an enrollment event. HFS trains All Kids Application Agents and provides the All Kids hotline (1-866-AllKids).
Families USA – Families USA is a national non-profit organization committed to achieving quality, affordable health care for all Americans. The Families USA website offers an abundance of resources to help enroll kids in All Kids. They also provide resources and best practices from across the country so you can see what worked in other states.
InsureKidsNow.gov – InsureKidsNow.gov is a website for states from the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services. You can find information about Illinois, examples of other enrollment toolkits and the latest news from other states and the federal government.
Cover the Uninsured - Cover the Uninsured is a project of the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation, dedicated to advocacy and building awareness about the need for a stable and affordable health care. The Cover the Uninsured website includes tools for putting on an event, research and reports to inform your work and information about what is working in other states. They sponsor Cover the Uninsured week each year during the Spring.
